Some common signs and symptoms of low mood include;

  • Feeling sad, tearful, or empty for most of the day, nearly every day.

  • Loss of interest or pleasure in things you once enjoyed.

  • Changes in appetite or weight (significant weight gain or loss).

  • Difficulty getting to sleep, staying asleep or sleeping too much.

  • Feeling tired, lethargic, or lacking ‘zest’.

  • Feeling restless or agitated.

  • Difficulty concentrating, making decisions, or remembering things.

  • Feelings of worthlessness or excessive guilt.

  • Pushing friends and family away in the desire to become more insular.
